In the bustling automotive industry of Onehunga, Auckland, Mark Sulad is making an impact. Known for his skills as a Diesel Mechanic and Qualified Auto Electrician, Mark's journey from running a mobile service to owning Automacky's dedicated workshop demonstrates his entrepreneurial spirit and the value of strategic partnerships.

After establishing a strong reputation with heavy-duty truck distributors and custom body specialists post-pandemic, Automacky quickly became known for reliability and expertise. However, Mark aimed for more. In early 2024, he opened Automacky's dedicated service centre for passenger vehicles in Onehunga, a major milestone in his business journey.

A key factor in Automacky's expansion was the collaboration with Treadway Equipped, an NZ family-owned supplier, installer, and servicer of auto workshop equipment. This partnership, recommended by a fellow mechanic, highlights the importance of word-of-mouth in the close-knit automotive community.

Treadway Equipped’s approach focuses on understanding their clients' business needs and constraints. Through a detailed five-step process, they worked with Mark to outline his workshop requirements and specify the right equipment to enhance efficiency. This workshop fit out showcases Treadway Equipped's commitment to helping new workshops enter the market smoothly and successfully.

Automacky's new workshop is a testament to this collaboration. It features Steiner hoists and tyre bay equipment, designed for maximum efficiency and functionality. The installation includes three two-post clear floor hoists with asymmetric arms, arranged to optimize space and accessibility, reflecting Treadway Equipped's careful planning and execution of the workshop fit out.

Loren Bill, Sales Director at Treadway Equipped, expressed pride and anticipation for Automacky's opening, saying, "Mark's new workshop is close to our Auckland facility, and we're excited to support him as he expands his business."

As Automacky's new service centre becomes a strong player in Onehunga's automotive scene, Mark Sulad's story demonstrates the power of strategic partnerships and dedication. With Treadway Equipped’s expert workshop fit out, Mark's vision for Automacky continues to grow, promising a future of innovation, efficiency, and excellent service.
